LIE: Trump won the 2020 Presidential Election
TRUTH: Every claim that Trump brought forward was
One of the most widely known lies is the claim that Donald Trump won the presidency in 2020. It’s even touted by Trump himself. However, this is a lie. Regardless of how one feels about the outcome of the election or how it was decided, Joe Biden was the winner.
The main argument that Trump won is that Biden and his voters cheated. We’ve seen these claims before. It happened in 2000 and then in 2016 when Trump won the first time. The way claims like this are dealt with are they are investigated to gather evidence to support the claim. Trumps team filed 62 lawsuits in 9 states to question the result. All of them were eventually dismissed. These included judges appointed by Trump himself. If there was any merit and any claim that the results in those 9 states were illegitimate, surely one of those 62 lawsuits would have panned out but they didn’t.

It doesn’t make any sense to argue that the results are incorrect if all of the arguments have been brought forward and rejected because they don’t have any merit. Yet, Trump and many Republicans tout this lie as being the truth. It’s no different than Democrats claiming the Trump colluded with Russia to rig the 2016 election.
The bottom line here is that if there was evidence that Trump won, we would see it but we don’t. It’s a lie that Republican’s believe.
